Well, about work, I guess I don't have to describe too much about it. One thing worth mentioning is that I have survived for 1 month! XD lol.
Fine lar, I haven't really felt the pinch of stress yet, but I truly learned a lot from the past few weeks. =)
So far, the latest in office that I have stayed was until 11pm. And I have brought work to complete at home twice during weekends, as far I can recall. Enough said, as staying in office until 1 am will eventually come soon lol.
Nevertheless, relaxation is UBER important for auditors, so I still managed to catch a few movies in these few weeks. The first one, was a movie I never really wanted to watch, but still gave it a shot. The reason I said so is because:
1) It is a Malaysian movie.
Besides Mata Sepet, other Malaysian movies failed to live up to their expectations, until recently reviews for the movie Woohoo were positive. Hence, I decided to give this movie a shot, and it was interesting since the movie was directorial debut for Ah Niu, with the movie consisting the brilliant, and our very own Lee Sinje, who is already renowned in Hong Kong for her acting.
Ice Kacang Puppy Love
The title was quite catchy too. And now the rating part haha.
Rather surprisingly, I would rate it rather decent!
My rating:
6.5/10
That's rather high considering it is a Malaysian movie, and it is VERY commendable for a debut movie. I particularly like the theme of the movie by relating romance to eating ice-kacang. I find it rather refreshing. And not to mention, the movie does reflect on the typical out-of-city feeling as the movie focused on places like Penang and Ipoh, which truly was Malaysian enough. Put simply, it is considered a heart-warming movie =) Good work Ah Niu!
The second movie, was the rather hyped, but in the end proved bit disappointing:

Shutter Island
I do not want to reveal too much about this movie, as I believe many of you have yet to watch this movie, but all I can say is that, I HONESTLY like the concept of the movie of using the role-play method to help cure the depression suffered by the main character played by Leonardo Dicaprio. However, the story was very very messy, and to me the connection of the plots were not well-presented, though I must credit Dicaprio for his portrayal as the depressed officer.
So here comes the rating:
7/10
I honestly expected MUCH more from this movie, especially this was directed by Martin Scorcese, and hence this will be my rating.
Well it's sleeping time now haha. It's gonna be a battle again in the new week, but fear not, for the Lord is always with yours truly =) Good night everyone!
