Day One @ HSBC

Just 10 days ago I nearly yelled with my lungs out after I finished my ICBM paper, and you have no idea how relieved I felt after the exams. It was the hardest semester ever, and although I am still yet to get my results, but I'll put it aside for at least 2 months first. Since I did not do my shoutout last week, here is my redemption.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Okay I'm done. =P

Despite that, I lacked rest, as right after ICBM test I attended the preaching session by Pastor Stephen Tong, which was indeed as marvellous as I would have imagined. Truly inspiring, and what touched my heart was the fact that during one of the 3-days-session, the stadium was FULL of children who were so eager to allow God's words showering on them. Remarkable =D

Then on the following Monday, was my

INTERNSHIP.

Suet Yen posted a question in her blog on why most of us would be so mad to undergo internship right after exams. Well she had a point there, but for me, there is only one answer.

HSBC. =D

Truly it is God's grace that somehow my application of an internship with the renowned bank was accepted and the moment I talked to the Graduate Recruitment Manager Mr. Izwal, I knew it would be a valuable internship experience for me. =) For that, I will start my day 1 of my internship in the bank. It's gonna be a bit long, and in case you might be disappointed, first day is usually full of stupid stuffs done lol.

9.20am

Sitting on the comfortable sofa in 12th floor. XD Okay irrelevant.

As Malaysians, a supposingly 9.30 meeting with Mr.Izwal was late for 10 minutes, so I had a chat with 2 fellow interns who were accepted as well. Speaking of banks rarely accepting interns. =S Both seemed very highly-educated, with one from Monash, and the other one doing Actuarial Maths.

ACTUARIAL MATHS OKAY. And she's already in the land of the Kangaroos for few years already.

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, the University of South Australia bound-to-be graduate (me) was feeling intimidated LOL. XD

Luckily both of them will be in different departments. =P

So after signing relevant documents, Izwal brought me to the department I was allocated at, which is the Commercial Banking Department. Apparently this is where all the loans applied by Malaysian companies will be reviewed before being approved. Okay, enough said, since I am under the confidentiality contract SWT.

10.05 am

Again there was 2 interns there, with one of them smiling at me as I stepped into the department. Well very soon enough, we quickly became brothers HAHAHAHAHAH. That later.

So I was introduced to the Planning Director Mrs. Rahayu, who then introduced me to all the officers in the department. The very next day I was bullied by those officers for forgetting their names HAHA. Again, details on that in the next post. =P

Typical office environment, but at least there was a significant difference between HSBC and the one I worked last year. At least I haven't seen dust yet LOL. So I was sitted in an empty place, with the table awesomely spacious (no jokes)! It is no wonder so far I haven't felt any stress yet, as all the people took their time and enjoy the space that they have while doing their work. XD

As I settled down, Rahayu told me the first thing I would do was to get familiarized with the Hub system of the bank using the PC. Sounds like something hard, but little did I know, it was BASICALLY reading the company's website.

@#*&@#*(&#@*(#@^&(@#^&(@*#^&^

But again, with such opportunity to slack, and also since the bank is SO willing to pay me by READING their website, why not? XD XD HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. And also thankfully, their website was quite informative. Plus with the activities that they have almost every month, I am more determined to apply for a permanent job after I graduate. =D

I would say Claryn will scream once she sees this statement, as the activities I meant was SPORTS activities.

So I SLOWLY took my time and read and unbelievably, I have a lot more yet to be read. So 2 hours shot past by and it was already 12. LUNCHTIME!

Remember the brother I mentioned just now? Yes I followed him, the other intern, and the whole bunch of bankers to have lunch at a nearby cafe full of Christmas decorations. Splendid, although the price of the food was even more splendid (in some other meaning LOL)

So I sat with the interns, and after just knowing each other for few minutes, it felt like we knew each other for years XD. At least there's no sense of intimidation HAHA. One of them was Gideon, while the other one was Yan Fun as mentioned earlier. Both of them worked for 2 months earlier before me, and from their faces, I did not see any signs of stress yet. XD And most remarkably, until now, we verse in Cantonese more than English, which somehow made it easier to bond with each other. Hmmm.

Speaking of Yan Fun, I actually had a word with her when I was "busy" reading the website, as she came along to talk to the officer next to me, in which she was introduced to me. The fact that she looked SO MUCH like a mother, I asked

"How long have you worked here?" XD

1.15pm

So I was back in the office in an hours, only to learn a bad news during lunchtime.

THE PLACE I AM SITTING WAS THE MANAGERS' SECTION. MEANING ALL THE OFFICERS AROUND ME WERE ACTUALLY THE HIGHEST DIRECTORS OF THE DEPARTMENT. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

But they are so friendly, so don't care lar =P

So I continued reading the website again. This time with an addition of reading DOCUMENTS regarding on loans. Suddenly I loved READING XD XD. And then a naughty thought came to my mind, as I tried to use the Internet, but apparently the account I was temporarily using, belonging to my Malay senior was ineligible for Internet usage. Sigh. So as I was nearly bored to death reading and reading and doing my own notes to kill time, there came the hero Gideon.

What's up bro? HAHAHA. Not really a hero, but he actually came to my place and gave me his ID to try logging into the internet. Though it failed, but still awwwwwwwwwwww

Bro, get back to work lar =P HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Very soon after, I was ordered to move my butt.

To hang decorations onto the office ceilings. -_- With that, another half an hour was gone, maybe more than that.

Even the Ultraman on top of my pc (left by the previous owner I assumed, an Ultraman fan) laughed at me. And notice the red and green decorations, those were the ones hung by me.

Plus the numerous toilet visits (did I mention the toilets are damn nice XD), time flew by really easily.

Not me, but the toilet. Nice right? XD

With myself finishing my "work" sharp at 5.45 pm, I walked gleefully towards the nearby LRT station anticipating for the next day.

With that I conclude the first day @ HSBC. Day 2 coming very shortly hehehehehehe.

I Just CAN'T Wait

Yes, I REALLY CAN'T.

It is 1.15pm now, and I'm about 2 hours away from taking my FINAL paper.

FINAL.

Why it is at 3 something in the afternoon when it is the best time for sleeping? LOL.

I blog just 2 hours from exam is not due to over-confidence, in fact I have a feeling I'm so going to screw up this paper later.

I just feel like taking it NOW and end it ONCE AND FOR ALL.

You know how it feels to be waiting for the exam to start and you just somehow feel like you don't know what to study anymore. And when you have the mood to start your paper, the ticking seconds are against you. -_-

Tonight the gang will get low, except for me. Sorry as God's calling for me. Enjoy yourselves don't get drunk HAHAHA.

2 More Steps

Why the heck I blogged so much more often during the exam period than other times?

Plain reason is because I am already sick of studying. Say what you want, but I truly believe NO ONE likes studying no matter how willing you are.

I need motivation. Someone please scold me and make me study!

So,

2 papers were gone. Truly remarkable how fast the time flew past by during the exam period. 3 days ago I can't sleep well, yet now I am 3 days away from the end of my nightmare.

For so much of the horror in FA3, I really can't tell how on earth I did in that stupid paper. There's only one verdict which I can tell you after taking this paper.

It makes me wonder WHY ON EARTH I chose an accounting course? =S

Sigh.

Well, I am not going to think about that right now. Not that I can make a U-turn now. I'll just put my final effort in my last 2 papers, and after that,

ENJOY!

For the last 2 weeks or so, it was really quite some torture.

Not been chatting for the last 2 weeks or more. Personal record for me lol. Even if I was online I was actually appearing offline to ask friends on exam tips. SWT. Yea that explains why I did not come online for so long folks.

Lack of sleep these few days.

Reading lines in text books XD

Temper has been bad also.

Loss of hair due to constant scratching out of frustration. Joking.

No hanging out. Not even yum-chaing. =(

Writing words with the size of an ant on cheat sheets -_-

It's okay, just 3 more days, I'll be BACK ROCKING. =D

Where's the Time?

In another 12 hours...

I will be parking my car somewhere near TBS...

With my heart pounding like a runaway horse (I know it's fancy shuddup!)

After that, approximately 50 minutes later

I'll see the many different faces of my fellow intakes standing in front of K-Web in 6th floor,

with myself shivering

given the fact that Taylor's like to waste electrity by keeping the air-conds on whole day.

Shiver + the pounding of my heart makes things worse lol.

Then after another 10 minutes,

it will be........................................

Okay, I should stop scaring myself.

Consolidation, COME LARRRRRR

Failure to Rationalize

Can someone give me a

PUNCHING BAG?

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Here We Go

Kita akan mula dengan Cari Pasal Lagi (CPL),

diikuti dengan ketakutan dalam mengatasi masalah konsolidasi (consolidation in FA3),

selepas itu kita MUNGKIN akan senyum sebentar dalam FP (as it is the most manageable among the four subjects lol)

kemudian kita akhiri dengan Ini Cari Banyak Masalah Lagi (ICBM) 10 hari dari sekarang.

Memang banyak masalah =S

I know some of you already started your finals yesterday, but most of us starts tomorrow. So hereby I wish everyone of you all the best and try your best as well.

Words for Life

Some inspiring words I wish to share with all of you:

Be patient for mistakes made by others, for you may have made those similar mistakes yourselves too.

And when you were to be patient, you are actually practicing one of God's good traits by avoiding unnecessary misunderstandings when things could be solved in an easier manner.

More importantly, by being patient and taking the initiative to forgive others, instead of pinpoint-ing others' shortcomings all the time, is an effective way to cure yourselves from further misery and ill-feelings.

I wrote this, is because I know I have a long way to go in practicing such beautiful trait of God's. How many times have we complained about what others have done to you but never have we reflected on how WE have done something offensive to others?

And how many times have we found it so hard to forgive someone for his or her mistakes? This is where God teaches us to be patient and judge the situations properly before taking any rash decisions.

It's not too late to improve on ourselves, and if everyone of us can practice this, this world will be a MUCH better place to live in. =)

The Battle Is On

Sorry for the Star Wars-like title LOL.

No choice, I am going mad when I see the word CONSOLIDATION. This word will define the meaning of accounting, believe me. You have no idea how hard it is. =(

God, I hope I have more time, but I know that's a point for me to regret right now.

All I can do now is to make up for lost time whenever I can.

And I know I'm very quiet in terms of blog updates recently. Sometimes I was busy, and sometimes, I just can't get the mood to pour out my ideas. Similarly to singing, if you do not have the mood when you sing a romantic song, it will turn out to be a disastrous song in the end.

XD

Anyway, I went to my FA3 lecturer, Ms Nadiah's open house at Kota Damansara yesterday, and all I could say

IT'S FUN! =D

Good thing that the lecturer was willing to have such an event to relieve students' stress. I guess almost everyone who takes FA3 will understand how stressful I am now. Again due to the lack of motivation, the details of the open house will come later on.

At least 2 more weeks from now.

We were the reason why Ms. Nadiah's husband preferred to go out to leave the house for US. XD

HAHAHA.

Okay I guess it's time to say goodbye. I'll be back again 2 weeks later, and better hope that I can still survive until then LOL. Hereby I would like to wish all the best to all my UniSA peeps in the final examinations. May God bless all of you. =)

To The "Shoe"

Mind you, the focus is on the shoes, not the legs LOL.

Some of us will know who this pair of RED HOT shoes belongs to.

Oi leng moi meng (in cantonese) XD

Someone I also know TOO well.

Yes, you, MISS SHOE aka AUNTIE aka LIVERPOOL MANIAC aka the person who will be happy if you bring her shopping at the ladies' section during megasales.

HAHAHAHAHHA.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTY!

You should feel honoured for I took time and dumped my stupid CPL assignment to post this birthday shoutout to you okay. APPRECIATE IT!

Sorry, I know this is the same picture as last year HAHAHA.

Happy 20th to one of my closest friends around me. I must say it's a pleasure for me to have such a NICE (I still will see you in college so I must compliment a bit XD) friend who makes me laugh when I need something hillarious to make my day sometimes (or in another words, potential to be a clown =P HAHAHA)

Well seriously, it's really wonderful to have a friend like her. Though indirect, her blog posts about the greatness of the Lord reminded me so many times that I must trust God no matter what happens to me, and from what I can observe, she is a very committed servant to God, which also inspires me to be a better servant myself. Though you might not realize this, I must thank you as well. =)

Enjoy your fellowship-ing tonight dear friend, and please take good care of my Pictionary. Just don't tell your friends about the old and horrible drawings drawn by me when I was still at my adolescence XD

And I also would like to thank you for the sharings that we had previously, though as you mentioned, we did not talk that much recently as we were all busy with all the stupid assignments. But I just want to say, if you need words of encouragement from me, you're always welcomed.

Lucky for you that we did not prank you with shaving cream or other nasty stuffs yesterday. THANKS TO YOU FOR DRESSING UP SO NICELY AND MAKING UP LOL.

So happy birthday once again girl. Stay the way you are and continue to shine with God's blessing =)

But at the same time,

Don't steal other's limelight yea LOL.

Referring to the picture, I would like to also congratulate Power Up Corp on their achievement in the Business Plan. After the second attempt, they won the competition this year and I must say, well done and you guys truly deserve it. And I want to proudly say, I am a friend of the winners! XD LOL.
The Champions.
I now wish you all the best and emulate our team's achievement in the HSBC YEA Awards next year.
CONGRATULATIONS ONCE MORE!

Give Me A Break

Yes, give me a break someone.

I just finished my Ini Cari Banyak Masalah (ICBM) assignment, and I don't think I can rest now as I still have CPL assignment due next week.

Wait until I come out with a name for CPL then I'll tell all of you. Lol.

After FA3 support class yesterday, I was even MORE depressed. Only 20% went to my head I guess? =S It finally embeds in my mind that the finals will be some hill for me to climb later on.

And I just realized, this semester really was a rocket. The Hong Kong trip still seems so fresh in my mind, but yet now November is already looming.

What really strikes my mind was when I see my bunch of friends settling their documents or attending talks regarding on their transfer to Australia to further their studies. Most of my intake colleagues have even found where to stay during their time in Australia, and I guess by this time next year, the college building will be much quieter.

Yes, all of you know I'm going to say this. I will miss all of you, especially those close friends of mine.

Brilliance of Marketing

The wonders of marketing, be it in a form of communication or a tool, are that it is able to captivate the heart of the community by satisfying their needs and demands. Above all, it is able to create something which the public does not even anticipate at all. Here's why.

Scenario (at 7 Eleven)

Salesperson: Selamat pagi sir. May I help you?

A: Anything lah.

Salesperson: Huh?
A: I'm looking for Anything.

Salesperson: Alrite sir. But may I know what is it that you want?

A: Anything lahhhh (showing the "tu lan" face like every Malaysian will do when he or she can't get what they want lol).

Salesperson: Okay sir. Kalau you insist macam ni (again another trait showed by a true Malaysian XD), I can't help you.
A: Fine. Then I'll have Whatever.

Salesperson: ?!?!

A: That one also don't have a?

If you noticed, the Whatever and Anything are in a name form. Which means:

This!

I present to you, the Whatver and Anything can drinks.

I'm not sure how many of you know about these unique drinks, but I certainly am ulu enough to just knew about them recently.

And true to the names, they really come in ANY kinds of flavour!

Nicole, who tried the drinks before, told me that the drinks are in different flavours anytimes, and you get the joy of anticipating different kinds of tastes when you buy the drinks.

To me, these products are the perfect indication of satisfying the true Malaysian style of answering when asked about what kind of drinks to have at times.

"Anything lar"

"Whatever lar I don't mind"

So once again, if marketing were to be used efficiently, it is an effective tool to reach the demands of the public as the public demands for new and innovative products at all times.

Thus, when your wives nag you, just show them these 2 drinks and I'm sure you will be embroiled into more fights XD HAHAHA. Just kidding.

Talking bout husband and wives, congratulations to Daniel and Fern for your matrimony. It's been truly a pleasure to witness both of you getting married under God's approval. =) The updates on the marriage will be up soon, as I'm lazy to post all the pictures in my blog lol.
So Daniel, treat your wife well yea =)

Not For Long

Yours truly is back.

But just for a while. Lol.

Everything's required to be managed properly right now, so time spent on those will mean I'm rather busy. Even if I'm free, I'll prefer to slack XD

I have A LOT of updates, but I guess I'll return with more after the finals. Right now will be updates here and there.

So, tomorrow will be QUITE hectic.

HSBC coming to town baby! So we Capital Youths members will return to impress the crowd once more.

Only for that 3 minutes. SWT.

We will be doing a mini presentation on our experience throughout the Business Plan competition, including the Hong Kong trip (my part yay =P), and it'll be done in front of 1st year and Foundation students (as according to Andrew's mouth only so nothing's sure yet lol)

Then,

FUTSAL!

I'm ALWAYS hyper when it comes to futsal. And somehow, revenge was in our minds XD

We lost the last 2 friendlies, so this time Longkang FC will make sure the drains are 100% clean this time against UTAR. XD

Lol I know these are quite contradicting to what I said earlier about me getting busy as of studies HAHAHA.

It's gonna be 1 heck of a day tomorrow, and God's willing, I hope it's an enjoyable day. =)

Til then.

F***

It's only 9.46 am early in the morning, and I'm already scolding out a profanity.

F*** X 100

Nah not so many times, but I'm quite frustrated.

AND I'M GETTING NERDIER!

For the last few days, I could actually spend hours talking about FA3 assignment and also hours in "love" with the Accounting Standards Book (the blardee fat book) at night

without getting much from them. Swt.

I like to give names to a subject, which last time I named BIS as Business Is Stupid. Now, I can't really think of FA3, but to me the "3" comes from 3 aspects

Accounting + Finance + Currency knowledge

Cantik lar.

WHY DO WE NEED TO CONSULT AN ICBM LECTURER WHEN WE ARE DOING ACCOUNTING ASSIGNMENTS?

It's all thanks to the complicated Australian Jenny Marx (not sure how is it spelt, just as complicated as her lol)

The worst thing is, she seems very nice to us when she conducted her lecturers last week, but no one knows what she wants. Whoa sounds scary isn't it? XD

Similarly to the assignment, I should have a rough idea after few days of discussions for long hours, but until now, I am still blank.

*(@#&@#*&@#*&@#*@#&@*#&@#*(&@#*&#*@#&@*#&@#*&#@*&#@*#@&*(#&

I'm going to play futsal this evening, and I find it welcoming as I can release 70% of my stress. So in another words, whoever the opposing keeper is, he better hopes I won't be clean through to goal, or else.............................

Some Justice Shown - For Now

During these few weeks, Malaysia has come out with a new drama.

The title is: The Malaysian Circus

Firstly presenting to you the Chief Clown:

Mr. AI (Ahmad Intelligence, not even artificial)

Mr. AI started to entertain the crowd by describing the Chinese as immigrants and he laughed at himself.

*Silence*

Not funny isn't it? Yes it is indeed NOT funny at all. What kind of circus is that?

Or should I say, what kind of government are we having today?

Firstly, this AI clown claimed last week that we Chinese were immigrants and never deserved equal rights in the nation. As a minister himself for so many years, why on earth he made such silly comments? Did he not get any rights as a Malay?

As a Chinese myself, I feel VERY insulted. What if I say the same thing to you, what will you feel Mr. AI?

Do you know how many things that WE Chinese have to do ourselves to earn the so-called RIGHTS?

Rights to education, rights to put our foot in the Malaysian world.

Then after a few days (FEW DAYS) of delay by our good friend Mr. AB (the A family I guess) and his deputy carrying him in their arms like a baby and saying Mr AI was misunderstood by the public when he refused to apologize. Instead,

Mr. N APOLOGIZED FOR HIM.

Who the hell he thinks he is?

Fine, it was 3 years of suspension in the government sector. But barely few days later, the drama continues with the introduction of new characters as the good guys.

But these good guys were sacrificed for the main characters of the drama. Teresa Kwok, Raja Petra and another reporter for Sin Chew Jit Poh newspaper were arrested by the ISA for the TRUTH that they stated. In fact, they NEVER questioned the rights of the races.

And you see, I'm proud to type out the names of the good guys PROUDLY, as they did the right thing, in fact nothing wrong.

What's wrong was the biasness of the government which began to get on the nerves of the Malaysian public.

We have eyes to witness what's happening ourselves. Firstly was the election which was a "tsunami" caused by the near-perfect triumph of the Opposition, then followed by the totally unreasonable price-hike of petrol.

Next was the Ninth Malaysian Plan, which turned out be a None Malaysian Plan. Swt.

As nothing much in the plan was really helpful to us.

Then, it was the Atlantuya case which was suspected to be related to someone major in the country.

Whoa, sounds exciting ain't it? Embrace yourselves folks, it's happening in the real world!

The more I typed, the more I felt angry that I'm actually living in a country like this. I don't dare to even go overseas, as I do not wish to be asked
"Hey, nice to meet you, where are you from?"

"Should I say Singapore instead?"

Until today, I finally see some righteousness and a sense of responsibility shown by a government officer
Presenting to you the hero of the day,

Mr. Zaid, ex-de facto Law Minister of Malaysia.

He took full responsibility by resigning his current post as he felt responsible for he had not done enough to implement the changes of the Malaysian law. I can fully understand him because there are too many insecurities surrounding the cabinet nowadays, and maybe he just could not take it himself anymore. Furthermore, he even quoted that his resignation might help to solve the problems faced by the Prime Minister.

This is the true Malaysian spirit everyone should learn. He apologized even though it's not his fault.

Unlike SOME people.

Come on Malaysia, we need to do something. No matter what this is still the place I was born, and I'll be a Malaysian always. Malaysia used to be a peaceful country, so let it be peaceful once again.

A Very Interesting Case

I guess CPL has really made me mad. Lol. The words below are 100000 times madder LOL.

Issue: Whether Suet Yen's (the appellant) claims of Ronnie's (respondent) eyes were reliable or not.

Judge on the case: Whoever judges this will have eggs thrown at him or her.

Facts (notice, FACTS) of the case:

Today, I was sitting on one of the seats at K-Theater 2. As usual, we will all sit at the last row of seats available. Yee Leng sat between Ronnie and I. It should be alright, I would have listen to Ms. Nadiah if Ronnie helped me to photocopy the lecture slides but he totally missed my copy. Only photocopied for Claryn and Yee Leng lor. I'll remember, Ronnie!!! I'll remember.

Thanks to lecture slides-less...I was partially listening to lecturer, partially looking all over KT-2. Tetapi, mata aku hari ni, kept finding its way to Ronnie's face. I DON'T KNOW WHY!!!NO!!! SUPER NOT INTERESTED IN HIM, mind you.

As usual, he syiok sendiri. Telling and showing people his new shirt bought from Thailand, with love and care from his parents. It's white in color. I notice he shaved quite clean today, considering the fact he normally doesn't. Kononnya having a bit of unshave goatie is man. -.-Ok lor, so we've been used to his 'man' look. But like I said, he shave clean today. And...And...And... He looks super fair. His eyes were stunning today, what the hell!

(Okay now she's not interested in me don't worry LOL)

It's like, it shines from afar. He have typical chinese eyes. Those with the tails moving upwards.Need me to draw???
Aiya. Tak payah la. Just think of Nike's logo. The tick. Mirror image for the left side. =)

I was telling him about it. I kept looking at him. Can see his face super syiok dah. -.-He blink his eyes quite often, emphasizing his eyes even more.

****(Okay this part is not true, she exaggerated it XD)

Besides, Yee Leng said he have nice eye brows. Nice eye lashes too, making us girls feeling so not girlish.

When I come back from the library, I changed seats with Yee Leng, cause Calvin takes CPL as well, so yea... Couple sits together, lovey doveyly.Sitting next to Ronnie...Ha ha... Ha ha... Ha ha...Let me laugh dulu.Ha ha... Ha ha... Ha ha...Alright, before I continue, allow me to tell you that my mum adore his eyes. She saw him from far once, when she came to pick me up from TBS. Mummy loves Chinese eyes so much, her 3 children doesn't have it. =P

Held: I don't think there's any, because most of you will be fainted by now. lmao.

******** For your information, I didn't write all these. These are copied from Suet Yen's blog, means her own words. I PROMISE! If you still find it unbelievable, and provided you have the time, cross-reference her blog, http://unfoggingthepast.blogspot.com/

But then, those of you who know me, I was actually quite syiok sendiri also, because this kind of thing will, or rather may not happen to me again LOL HAHAHA.

Quite creative right, Suet Yen? XD

"Merdeka" Gone

Malaysia's kemerdekaan was just over 2 days ago, but it's not like i cared a lot for it. In fact, who really cares?

But I come to think of it, we Malaysians are really unique.

1) We are really good blamers (We blame others first and then only come back to ourselves)
2) Racists (How many of you do not curse with bad words at drivers from different races when they irritate you on the streets?)

3) We work in a triangular way (Malays vs Chinese + Indians, vice-versa)

4) 3-in-1 (Eh bro (English), we go mamak (BM). damn hungry wei (Chinese)!)

But don't worry, Malaysians are not serious in mixing up some other things lol.

5) We curse at people's singing (for those who have mosques around you LOL)

6) We do things the Malaysian style (Double-parking at will =S)

7) Gets carried away (the government thinks they are so smart after implementing a small plan)

8) Like to give really uncomprehensible comments (to suit the rise of petrol prices, the public is advised to adjust their spending activities)

9) Gain publicity (Atlantuya's case which took a whole year to conclude)

10) Anything also can LAH....

Okay I'm done, as I do not want to be branded as racists lol.

I cared more for my OWN kemerdekaan.

For some of you who might have known, I was all home alone when my family went to Bangkok, and nothing can describe that kind of high-up-on-sky feeling =P

But to the persons who complained about my house, yes larrrrr I WILL clean up. XD

But over the weekend, it's really fun to have no one looking at you, especially when you feel like doing something which might make your parents say

"Boy, come here". lol.

Unfortunately, if not for CPL assignment, I could have enjoyed more I guess. That blardee Ken and Maria (and Michael, for that matter) made me so stressed over a week over their stupidity, business-wise. Both could actually live happily after had they declared the profits together, but I guess that's the purpose of an assignment.

Thankfully, the assignment was over, but please don't EVER mention the names Maria and Ken anymore, as I'll have nightmares. =S

Sigh, when are my parents going to have trips again? =P Haha.

Nah I'm not so bad. I miss my mom's cooking especially, and though I can cook few dishes (eg NOT INCLUDING MAGGI MEE AND EGGS), it will be meaningless to cook and eat alone. But it was really a great weekend.

REALLY great =D

And also with lots of love from my parents, the "showing off" shirts as claimed by Yee Leng, as I kept saying this nice shirt was from Thailand lol.

Uncertainty

It was a Monday blues today.

Everything seemed to slow and motionless. Chong Wei and Malaysians' hopes were gone as he had a meltdown in a terrible final yesterday, soundly beaten by Lin Dan. Not too harsh on him as he still has a silver medal, but he could have fought in a MUCH better manner.

3 hours after that disappointing match, another solemn moment came as MU just managed a draw against Newcastle, a team they so loved to win in the past.

A supposingly good night was ruined =S

Sleepiness clouded my day today as I just had 3 hours of sleep. The birthday girl will know why =P

The low-concentration level did not help at all as I could not absorb nuts in ICBM lecture today. I had a feeling it's almost the same thing as what happened to me in F&I last semester, as I left it so last minute to understand everything. Lol.

Moreover, I got a terrible scare just.

I stayed back at college after ICBM to wait for my dad as he said he will pass by the area. Somehow the boredomness made my fingers type the MyUnisa link to check my deferred MA results.

When I reached the results section, I still see the blardee "F2" there, but initially there was another column left empty for this subject. In another words, there were two lines of the subject name initially, with one of them having a "F2" written beside it.

But just now, there was ONLY ONE LINE.

I seriously got very scared, and suddenly my mind was clouded with plenty of nonsense and concerns. I stoned for a few seconds, then I rushed to the Exam Unit to confirm if it's the end result. Of course, my mind that time was totally blank. I did remember Mr. Lim, my MA lecturer saying the results will be out in at least a month though.

Thank God, it wasn't the end result, according to the Exam Unit staffs. Officially, this part of the floor is the place I would never want to go to, especially for wrong reasons.

But, this is just the beginning. After that moment, I really can't expect a lot, in fact I have every reasons to be worried about. I feared, and I really did. My heart pumped REALLY hard. I can imagine the disastrous ending happening to me if what happened today is a reality.

I'm really lying if I say that I won't be worried about this. In fact, it's quite a nightmare every passing day.

God, help me.

Updates In The Olympic Month

I'm back after 15 days of not updating my blog. Sigh it's been a while since I really felt like blogging. I wasn't really that busy, but somehow it turned out to be since college started.

Okay I find it weird as I don't know a word I said. LOL.

Obviously, August is the month of Olympics fever held in Beijing, China and so far it's considered a blast. China and the United States are leading the way in the medals tally, with Malaysia nowhere to be seen. Swt.

Updates on that will be in my sportsblog later on.

This is the 3rd week of college, and already I just managed to finish an assignment on FA3. More are to come, speaking of hecticness. And with Lisa Yong's cunning smile when she calls a student to answer the question, it's going to be a long semester ahead. XD

Fine, to be fair, so far I'm all right with her. Hopefully this continues as I don't want my name to be spreaded for the wrong reasons in other classes lol.

One thing never changes, is the motherly advice by Ms. Nadiah Soo.

"Yes or no....students? YES OR NO?"

A week ago, I went to Calvin's birthday party at his house in Bandar Utama, and oh boy, it WAS AWESOME! Not only the house of course.

Largely because,

OF THIS!

And many many more. Of course, it was an enjoyable night as the hospitality was fantastic, with his mom looking as young as she can be, the food cooked by her was marvellous as well.

And of course, as mentioned earlier, the Wii and PS3 gaming sessions on a huge plasma television. Sigh, how jealous I was seriously. Calvin the lucky arse =P

All of us first-timers (first-time noobs) trying to master the Wii (Why) game.

Me and Yvonne. Picture taken by Jasmin the camwhore. Lol.

Then I met up with a high-school mate who came back from studying in United States for a break. Actually she came back long time ago, and only yesterday I got to meet her. She just had to say that I don't come out often when I'm invited. Swt.

It just amazes me sometimes how a person can change that dramatically in such a short span of time. She talked about accepting open relationships, and I wonder, is it right to accept or not. For how open I can be as a person, I am still bit conservative in some ways. Hmmm.

Well, right now I would just relax and anticipate 2 BIGGIES tomorrow, Chong Wei playing Lin Dan for possibly a first GOLD medal for Malaysia, as well as Man United kicking off their Premier League season.

Cheers. =)

Disguise

Sometimes, life is all about how you disguise.

Clowns are good in disguising. They disguise to bring laughter to everyone. This is a good form of disguise.

But clowns have their dilemmas as well. Don't you think that they are happy themselves, actually some of them are not. They are just doing what is required of them.

I find myself to be like these clowns sometimes. Similar to them, I have a bomb inside which could explode anytime if it is ticked.

My fault, I'll be scolded, not my fault, somehow I am to be blamed as well.

I really don't know why am I always the chou yan (clown in cantonese) to be in the receiving end of all these. After all, I never blamed you all for your mistakes. I can be forgetful, I can commit mistakes just like everyone else, but why is it that all the time I felt like I have done something very wrong?

If things could be seen in different ways, perhaps in a more cheerful way, I would have accepted things gracefully and willingly. What about the times when I don't even know what I did?

And what about the deeds I did which you all did not even realize? Like saving money for instance?

Is this how you guys bring the best out of me? Do you now it's never nice trying to shut up and act like nothing has ever happened?

All I need is your trust. TRUST, which should not be influenced by the past.

Scrappy

After 4 months of chatting in class in front of the lecturers, the devil-may-care attitude, totally no concerns until the day arrives, the play-and-study days in Hong Kong, and certainly the really really last minute work, I got my results.

Just 1 word: RELIEVED.

Honestly telling you, this is my worst results EVER since I entered college. EVER.

But in fact, I feel the happiest and the most satisfying.

Okay I may be a content person as many of you would know me, but all these while I DO show lots of concern in my exams. But this time I knew, certain things are not in my hands.

In fact, I am really happy to scrap through, as my business plan and the Hong Kong trip really took a lot of my time away. I do not wish to find excuses for myself, but it's so easy to be distracted especially when you are into something big. =)

Especially the Hong Kong trip, if I see it in a bad way, the trip came at the worst time possible as it's just the week before exam, but if I look at it positively, it came at an almost perfect timing as only my MA paper was deferred, and with this kind of result in the end, I feel comfortable. To be honest, how to put 100% of your mind when you are in the middle of a trip?

So, I am satisfied. I do not wish to compare myself with others. Say what you want whether I am bright or not, I am never a bright student anyway. For those of you who already got fantastic results but still not satisfied, please think of people around you.

Of course I am not saying going for the best is wrong, but sometimes, a lot of others would want what you already dislike. Also, you think you put in effort, and not getting what you deserved is heartache, but actually sometimes things are out of your control.

The same goes to how you handle life. Over the past few weeks my pastor has been talking about how to handle your life when things seem to be against you. Learn to appreciate what you have, as others may not even dare to dream of having. God is fair as He gives you up and downs.

I had mine too.

Also, if you can see things in both perspectives, the world would be brighter for you. =)

Time's Changed

It really does you know.

I'm back by the way, with my mind full of plots from the TVB series. Should I spoil your mood by posting some here? =P Hahaha.

I was blog-hopping and I saw some of my friends blogging bout their lives in the past, and I can't help but to think of mine too. It's not only myself, but those people around me.

One example. The writer of http://www.saltyfruits.blogspot.com/ (what a stupid name =P lol kidding)

Don't be shocked to see your "lovely" picture here XD

The one flashing her megawatt smile is her.
She was my junior during my LEO days in secondary school. As naughty as she can be, she was still a brilliant LEO. And back then, she was STILL shorter than me.

Until 2 days ago,
I had to tilt my head upwards bit when I saw her in pasar malam.

WHY MUST YOU BE SO TALL NOW HUH? *#&*@#&@*&@*@^&@^&@#^&@#^

Lol. Sigh, time's changed. I feel shorter and shorter now nooooooooooooooooooo. I don't want to see any juniors of mine anymore I do not wish to feel the same again =P Lol.

Nah, actually, I have missed all of you though I may have lost contact with some. Just like me, all of them moved on after SPM to college life. Everyone's grown up now.

Also just recently, Sara was the first one from the gang to reach Adelaide to further her studies. I also didn't really remember how I started talking to her, but I first knew her as "Metallica" as she wore lots of metals few years ago. XD

Don't get me wrong okay, she's no gangster. =)

So we sent her off few days ago, and I did not realize how much I would miss her until she started to give her usual trademark chicken-like laughter before she left. Prior to that I did not hear that for ages, and when I heard it, I would miss it more.

Now that she's 3462 miles (or so she said) away from us, somehow it feels different when one of the gang leaves. But she seems enjoying her life there in Adelaide.

Hmph =P hahahahahaha.

I may not have been close to you over the years, but it's really a pleasure knowing you. All the best okay =D

Series Month

Was bit busy with gatherings recently, and also church events. Sometimes holidays are even busier than college days lol.

Of course, I'll be busy with LOTS of series also. =D Hehehehehehe.

FORENSIC HEROES 2, CSI: NY, HOUSE, CHUCK.

Wow I'm so spoilt of choices. =P

Lots of things to blog, but sometimes it's hard to vent out the words out from an overcrowded brain.

By the way, together with my friend Claryn, we have initiated a sports blog regarding on our views on sports today. The layout is still yet to be completed, but you can have a view first at Sportsmate.

You are free to give any comments in the site, and I hope you will enjoy it. =)

Where's The Dignity?

Malaysia is ALWAYS famous for coming out with bizarre incidents. It happens yet again this week.

Can't believe his luck.

I'm sure all of you recognize this figure. Back in the late 90's, if you remember, he was jailed for a charge on sodomy and subsequently lost his position as the Deputy Prime Minister. Years later in 2008, he worked his way up once again, and just few steps away from announcing himself as a contestant in the by-election,

THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN.

Ladies and gentlemen, it takes a really foolish mind to not apprehend that an ambitious leader, who tirelessly worked his way up towards obtaining a respectable position in the politics, would want to screw all these up with another act of sodomization again.

Both incidents came from allegations from someone else.

What on earth is wrong with this country?

If speculations going around stating that the allegations on Anwar Ibrahim was to derail him completely from the political scene were true, then God knows what will happen to the dignity of this country.

WHERE ARE WE GOING TO HIDE OUR FACES?

Of course, I as a citizen have no rights to intervene on such political issues, but to me, the country is facing a downturn right now, especially after the price hike of petrol, and if we allow such speculations to continue spreading in the morning papers, it won't do the country any good at all.

Price hike, is still bearable, but if the government is involved in such conspiracy, as described by Anwar, then I have nothing to say.

May God show all of us the truth to avoid the innocent being harmed.

Thoughts on Euro 08

It's so unusual of me of not to blog about football for so many weeks, thanks to exams and all. But thankfully I was lucky enough to catch the final of the Euro 2008 between two powerhouses of football, Spain and the ever-experienced Germany.

In a packed stadium and Vienna, Germany was lacklustre and did not maximise the experience that they had in major finals, which allowed the Spanish players to pass the ball with maximum effect.

After dictating the play for the 1st 15 minutes, Spain began to play at their own pace, which gave trouble to the German team since. The damage was done in the 1st half as a speedy Fernando Torres, latched onto an inch-perfect from Cesc Fabregas, replacement for the injured David Villa, and outran German defender Philippe Lahm before scoring past Jens Lehmann.

Yes Claryn, he deserved the plaudits.

Ironically, Torres had a bad tournament thus far, with only one solitary goal to his name prior to the final. Perhaps he showed why is he still one of the best forwards in the world by scoring in a match with such magnitude.

Fair to say, as a neutralized fan watching this football match up and early in the morning, Spain totally deserved to win this match. They were completely outplayed in almost every department, and their breathtaking passes had killed the Germans. If not for the goalkeeper, the score would have been much bigger than it would have suggested.

The victorious Spaniards

So this match concluded a tournament which was stunned by MANY surprises, and although I did not catch most of the matches, I managed to keep updated with the important facts of this tournament.

First of all, I'm impressed with the fair play being shown by all the teams in the tournament. Only 3 red cards suggested that violence was kept at bay. =)

Best Team of Euro 2008

Although Spain may have ended their drought by winning the title, in my opinion this plaudit still goes to none other than Russia. Led by mastermind Guus Hiddink, who transformed an average football team to world-beaters, they displayed perfect counter-attacking style of football. Speed, agility, matched by the ability to defend at the same time, it is no wonder that Holland was wiped out in the semi-finals.

The future of football.

The Most Entertaining Team

Without a doubt, the Oranje team. Boasted by the wealth of talents in terms of attacking players, Sneijder, Nistelrooy, van Persie, Huntelaar are all proven classy attacking players, and they brought colours to the tournament with their dismantling of France and Italy in the group stages. A 4-1 against the Italian team was no easy feat at all.

The Oranje

Comeback Kings

WHO ELSE BUT TURKEY? Unbelievable fighting spirit to win matches together with their attacking minds made up a very formidable combination as they fought back so many times in the tournament when it seemed that they will lose. The perfect example was the match against Croatia, who themselves even wonder how on earth Turkey equalized THAT fast to bring the match into penalties.

Did I mention, Turkey scored the equalizer RIGHT after Croatia scored in the 2nd last minute of extra-time?

Comeback Kings

Best Player of The Tournament

Could have been Sneijder if Holland was not knocked out. What distincts a very good player from a good player is that he is able to bring massive impact to the team he plays with, and that was shown by the Russian midfielder Arshavin. Russia looked like a team of nobody when he was suspended for the 1st two matches until he returned to the team. He completely changed the team with his pace and certainly passing ability to unlock the stubborn defences. Plus with his ability to score goals when it matters, he certainly had the ability to be the next best player in the world.

As described by Shebby Singh, he brought "art" to the Russian team.

The Russian Wizard

The Worst Team

Who else but the team which has a chicken on its logo?
