Anyway, back to topic. I don't really draw inspiration from younger people (haha!) but I find it hard not to admire the ambition of this young Dutch individual. I was reading through newspaper (I did not take my own sweet time to read a piece of newspaper since working) and I saw the news about Laura Dekker, 14 (FOURTEEN?) who got the approval from the High Courts to sail around the world,
ALONE.
Introducing:

Laura Dekker on her voyage, Guppy
The whole journey will take 2 years, with the journey illustrated as below:

I don't know how many parents in the planet would allow their children to do such thing, but I find it DAMN COOL! Not only that, I find it really courageous from a 14-year-old. A typical teen in such age would just hide at home surfing Youtubes, while she will be away on sea, dealing with hurling winds and possibly, avoiding Carribean pirates (Johnny Depp?)
"I'm not really afraid. I'm really happy to sail." That's all she had to say before the journey.
Thank you Laura for inspiring me with your amazing courage. All the best and good luck! =D
