Things I Do At 19

Nothing comes worse than welcoming the New Year with sickness. Instead of revelling in New Year's Eve, I spent most of the day struggling at work, eating medicine and sleeping. Thankfully enough, I still can do a mini-countdown with my loved ones as I recovered sufficiently enough. =)

So as the fireworks were being displayed at exactly 12 am today, it signified that a year has just passed by once again despite how fanciful the fireworks were.

And this time, my age has a "2" in front of my age PERMANENTLY for the next 10 years. Okay I regret putting this sentence haha.

By far, this, or LAST year had been the greatest year for me in my life. Below are the notables:
1) Start of My Degree

Well, it isn't any different as I'm still stuck in TBS anyway. Still have to go for classes in cold-like-north-pole classes and hard-to-sleep lecture halls. But this time, I can say that more wacky people joined the already-wacky-enough gang of US (yes US) (actually more aunties =P) and together, we strived together in assignments and exams. Results this year are better than last year for me, but again, I don't want to compete with the crazies. =)

Birthday celebrations are beginning to get usual, but we never got bored.

2) Redang Trip

Went to Redang with these bunch, and it was one heck of fun. =D I could still remember I learnt the game "bluff", but the learning process was bit forgettable. XD lol.

3) My Birthday

I got to tell you, it is SO memorable. My college friends gave me such a big surprise that I was too shocked! After classes when I went futsal, ALL of them collaborated in conning me by making their appearance in the futsal, unexpected TOTALLY. I don't feel like telling what happened to me after that (swt), but I'm really thankful.
And of course, my birthday was full of wishes from friends, church people, family. Thank you everyone =D
4) Baptism

THIS, had been the MOST important turning point of my life. Not only it signifies the start of my journey with the Almighty God himself, it also laid a foundation for me to do and commit myself more to Him from this day onwards. Though my belief in Him started late, as compared to most who believed in Him since their early days, I'm sure God will pave a way for me to learn more from Him. =) Thanks to all who have encouraged me, especially my pastor who has been a great man to me.

5) AdventuRun
My FIRST run! Haha and who else but the famous Boey Winson (lol) was the organizer of this event in Shah Alam. Everything was perfect, with an unique running experience in the jungle, pant-and-breaths, great service, and hot girls performing. XD I must repeat, that I finished in the top 15 in my group. If only I could run faster *#@()*#@)( But overall, it was a fantastic event.

6) Business Plan

This event really tells me why am I enjoying college life so much. I don't really remember why did I really join this event, bearing in the mind about the commitments that I had to put in, but since then, I never regret =D I totally did not expect ourselves to get through to the semi-finals, let alone the Runners-Up prize we eventually got in the end. Through trials and tribulations, Pretib, Boey and I went through stress, last-minute work =P, interviews with the big-shots, gruelling preparations for the presentations, hardly-kind judges, and also watching American Pie in Boey's ever comfortable house.
Oops. =P hahahahahahaha

And from this event, I could not ever forget how supportive my friends can be during this event. Those who came all the way just to support us and the Cutting Edge members though exams were drawing near, and the good luck wishes I got from others really spurred us on. And also Ms. Alice =)

7) Work

My first office-work since I felt that I should fill my time wisely. In the end, it wasn't one thing that I really wanted to do. My year ended on a sour note mostly because of work, and I showed symptoms of stress by the loss of appetite, ands yes, sickness. Rarely happened to me, but it did. =S

Fine, I'm posing, but I was really tired.
But all in all, I learnt a lot from my work, like how to prepare auditing, prepare cash books, stocktake (this is an on-field work. surprising huh) and plenty of gossips. Okay this is nothing good lol.

God has made it a really wonderful year for me, and of course, I did have my up-and-downs but I can guarantee you, I am much stronger than what I was before. Happy 2008 everyone, and as I finish this blog, I hope that everyone of you can achieve the resolutions that you set for yourselves, and march towards the new year with renewed strength and ambitions.
